What has become of Fairmont?

I have to say that I am so disappointed at what Fairmont has become. There are literally no specialists at Mayo anymore–no opthalmologists, no dermatologists, no urologists, no urgent care anymore, now threats of $50 to have a “complex” verbal conversation? What does that mean?

I don’t understand what the heck is going on here. I know many say all is well. There is no place to shop other than other private stores geared toward young adults, teenagers or other adults still in the workplace. Retired folks need to go to Walmart or drive to Mankato. How the heck are we to attract doctors, restaurants and stores that can survive here? A community center isn’t going to make or break this little city. Fairmont has got to do more to draw people to this town–they get a “D” in my opinion. I know many will say “we’ve got Bean Town, Ambiance, Tami’s, El Agave, and all the fast-food places.” That is not enough to make this little city better.
