Thankful for generosity
To the Editor:
I moved to Minnesota in January of 2022 with expectations that were clearly just in my head. Shortly after moving here, reality set in and I found myself and my 12-year-old son in a not so good situation. My employer gave me the name and number to The Shepherd’s In. I called Curt Moeckel and he has been helpful in so many ways. He helped me get moved from Welcome to Fairmont. He has given me names and numbers to people and resources I would have never known about. He has given me rides when he was available. He is very positive and gives great advice. He took time out of his schedule to show me around Fairmont and where things are. Thanks to him, we have been able to get settled into an apartment and are slowly getting our lives back to normal, if there is such a thing. I am a believer in what is meant to be, will be.
Everyone we meet is supposed to be there for a reason. Recently, Curt got a donation of 5 air conditioners and was able to gift 2 of them which are greatly appreciated. I have offered my help to The Shepherd’s In if needed to show my gratitude to Curt and how he has helped me. Every once in a while we all need help in one way or another. I just figured everyone needs to know about The Shepherd’s In and the amazing ways Curt was able to help me through my rough times, so thank you to all the people who have supported Curt and The Shepherd’s In.
