Our problems are our sins

To the Editor:

On all of our money are the words “In God We Trust.” But I ask, what God is it do we Americans trust in? The God that we trust in will be the God that we follow, obey and serve. Also in our Pledge of Allegiance are the words “One nation under God.” And I ask, what God is it that we Americans are under? The God that we are under will be the God that we acknowledge as the ruler and the authority over us.

Now, let’s look at America and be painfully honest to see what God we are really trusting in and what God we are really under. So, as we look at America, we see: Financially we are broke, living on borrowed fiat money; Physically we are sick, overweight and out of shape; Mentally we are demented, disturbed, lacking in common sense and scatter-brained; Morally we are corrupted, decadent, perverted and subverted; Spiritually we are confused, lost and unstable.

Also as we look at America’s government and public school system, we plainly see that they have completely turned away from the God of the Holy Bible. Any person with common sense can see how terribly America is fallen apart, divided and weak. All of this evidence easily proves that we are not trusting in the God of the Bible anymore. All of this evidence easily proves that we are not under the authority of the God of the Bible anymore. The evidence clearly points to the fact that Satan the devil is actually the god that America is really trusting in and really under, following, obeying and serving him.

The only way to straighten out our sinfully crooked nation is that we must humble ourselves and painfully and honestly face our problems. Simply put, our problems are our sins against the Holy God of the Bible. And repentance, Jesus Christ and His Holy Word, are the only answers that will work and straighten us out, and save us and our nation.
