Thankfulness helps

To the Editor:

In these challenging times of unemployment, disease, closed businesses and schools; can we not find things for which we can be thankful? I am thankful for good health, my wife of 61+ years, our four children, our 14 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. I am thankful for the blessings we enjoy in our community, the police and fire departments, the medical facilities, the clean streets, the variety of stores and businesses, the service organizations, the parks and the religious organizations and churches. I am thankful for living in the United States of America and for our Founding Fathers who were God fearing men who drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to protect our personal freedoms and our way of life. I am grateful for the privilege of worshipping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience. Above all, I am thankful for Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, from whom all blessings come; count your blessings and see what God has done.
