Veterans: Do you agree?
To the Editor:
Donald Trump said veterans are “suckers” and “losers.” How many of you identify with that?

Political sign offensive
To the Editor:
A friend of mine in Fairmont sent me a photo of a political banner in a front yard on Albion Avenue. It said, “Trump 2020 — No More Bull—-.”
I used to live in Fairmont and still check the Sentinel for news. Many fond memories of a lovely city. Not in Fairmont, I thought of this political banner. Pretty offensive. Not a word you can put in a newspaper, right? Intended to anger and provoke.
Then I started reviewing things I find offensive: nearly 200,000 dead from COVID-19, worst toll in the world; a president who refers to U.S. war dead as “suckers” and “losers”; a president who refuses to condemn Russia for paying a bounty for U.S. soldiers killed in Afghanistan; a president who pardons a war criminal convicted by his peers in the U.S. Navy; a president who was impeached for trying to extort the new leader of Ukraine into doing a political dirty-tricks investigation using taxpayer dollars; a president who slept with a porn star and tried to cover it up with a $130,000 hush payment prior to the 2016 election.
I guess it all depends on what you find offensive.
