TDS is in full bloom

To the Editor:

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) has often been described as a serious mental condition brought on by hatred of President Donald Trump.

TDS causes afflicted persons to act or speak in a totally irrational manner. Democrats, a group of people apparently most often afflicted with TDS, are often noted to be in a state of denial of reality and have repeatedly denied the existence of TDS. However, on May 8, a group of Democrats led by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., demonstrated clearly just how irrationally people afflicted with TDS can act: they voted to hold Attorney General Bill Barr in contempt of Congress because he refused to violate federal laws and his oath of office by giving them documents they already knew they were not entitled to receive. In other words, this is the first time in the history of the U.S. where a government official was held in contempt of Congress for not violating the law. That is what TDS does to fragile minds.

This constant political theater, a continuation of the Russia Russia Russia collusion delusion, which itself was in part an effort to protect the corruption of the Obama administration from discovery, is costing taxpayers a lot of money, and all because Democrats cannot face the reality of the outcome of the 2016 election. This also demonstrates why Democrats should not be put in any governmental position of authority because they tend to disregard the rule of law in their constant drive to overthrow the Constitution and laws of the U.S. and gain absolute control of the country. The 2020 election is rapidly approaching and, for the good of this country, we need to thoroughly reject their efforts.
