Burial will be at a later date in the Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, S.D. Schumann died Thursday morning, March 23, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont, Minn. MINNETONKA — Jack Snyder, age 80, of Minnetonka, Minn., formerly of Elmore, Minn., passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Jack loved his family and will be greatly missed. A dog lover as well, he will be missed by his many canine friends. Jack is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Troy) Swigart; sons, Jason and Monte; grandson, Jack; granddaughters, Ann and Grace; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents; and siblings.

SWEA CITY — Janice L. Berven, age 86, died Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona, Iowa. No services for her are planned at this time. Henry-Olson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Janice was born Oct. 22, 1936, in Swan Lake Township, Emmet County, Iowa, the daughter of Oscar and Alice (Larson). She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 5232. Survivors include: her children, Linnea Cook, Butch Looft, Mike Looft and Scott Looft; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Oscar K. Berven; and Dennis Looft.
