TRUMAN -- Alice May Raddatz, 82, passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2026, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, surrounded by her family. Alice was born on May 18, 1944 in Fairmont, Minn., to Irvin and Bernice (Luhmann) Widmann. Alice grew up in Truman, Minn. and graduated from Truman High School. She was confirmed on April 22, 1958 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she remained a member. Following high school, Alice began her lifelong career at People’s State Bank, now known as Profinium Bank, where she devoted 40 years of her life to serving customers and the surrounding community. On July 23, 1966, Alice married the love of her life, Gary Raddatz. Together they raised two children, Gina Cerisier and Gerald Raddatz. Alice was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Alice was a dedicated community member, actively serving on the boards of the Fairmont Hospital Foundation, the Truman Historical Society, and the Truman Community Chest, as well as participating in the American Legion Auxiliary. She held a special place in her heart for local first responders; throughout her husband Gary's years as a volunteer fireman, she lovingly laid out his clothes every night, ensuring he was ready whenever his pager sounded.
An enthusiastic Minnesota sports fan, Alice cheered for all of her home teams. However, nothing brought her greater joy than her own family. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren and cherished every opportunity to attend their school programs and athletic games.
Alice is survived by her children Gina (Joe) Cerisier of Ramsey, Minn., Gerald (Janet) Raddatz of Prior Lake, Minn.; her grandchildren Nick (Jenifer) Raddatz, Nathan Raddatz (Reece Dahl), Lindsey Cerisier and Joe Cerisier; great-granddaughter Rylan Raddatz; sister Marcia Lloyd, brother Terry (Tammy) Widmann, sister-in-law Kathy Widmann, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
