If you are reading this, that means I have taken my last paddle into the sunset on Monday, Sept. 28, 2026. I was born Sept. 22, 1951, in Owatonna, Minn., to Burt and Jane Reeve. I grew up in Austin, Minn. I did all the activities a boy would do in the 50's and 60's. Never amounted to much, but sure had fun camping, boating, family cabin, and Boy Scouts. Worked at various positions for the Star Tribune from age 10 into college. I earned my Eagle Scout and God and Country religious award in 1967 (imagine the latter?). Graduated Austin High School in 1970 and Austin Jr. College with AA degree in 1972. That's where I met the love of my life Beth Atwood. I worked 5 years as a professional wilderness canoe guide in the BWCA. I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1977 with a BS in Sciences and a DDS degree. Beth and I were married in August 1975. We celebrated our 50th anniversary August 2025.

We moved to Fairmont in 1977, bought an older dental practice and started our dental business as a young dental hygienist and dentist. Business started in the old creamery building, then the old Red Owl (Krahmer Law Building) and finally Maple Point. In the process we raised two sons. I was involved in the Boy Scouts, Fairmont planning commission, restoration and board of the Fairmont Opera House, Chain of Lakes Yacht Club, Heaven's Table Food Shelf, and longtime Booster of Fairmont Cardinal and Minnesota Gopher activities. I was a charter and 48-year member of Fairmont Early Riser Kiwanis Club.

Beth and I retired after 40 years of dental service to our many patients and friends. We greatly enjoyed traveling. Alaska, Hawaii, States, Costa Rica, and 12 trips to Europe. Our favorite spot was always the North Shore. I loved my garden and yard, building funky bird houses, and chasing our granddaughters around.

I am survived by my sons, Eric (Anna) and Matt (Kara), granddaughters, Liesl, Eva, Greta, Frankie and Winnie. Sister and brother-in-law, Jean (Jim) Thill. I was preceded in death by my wife Beth, parents Burt and Jane Reeve, brother Mark Reeve, and parents-in-law "Ike" and Eileen Atwood.

Thank you Fairmont for all you have given me (us). Until we meet again.

The family requests memorials be made in Lynn's name to Early Riser Kiwanis Club and Heaven's Table Food Shelf in Fairmont.

The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
