GRANADA -- A time for celebrating and remembering the life of DuWayne C. Jaskulke, 73, of Granada, Minn., will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Ghost Town Tavern (1203 260th Ave, Granada, MN 56039). DuWayne passed away Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, surrounded by his family at his home near Granada, Minn. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with the arrangements.
DuWyane Clifford Jaskulke was born Dec. 29, 1952, in Fairmont, Minn., the son of Clifford and Marilyn (Sjoblom) Jaskulke. DuWayne grew up on the family farm near Granada, Minn., where he attended school and graduated from Granada High School.
On March 3, 1973, DuWayne was united in marriage to Lesia Tonne in Fairmont, Minn. The couple made their home on a farm near Granada and were blessed with four children, John, Sarah, Amanda, and Josh.
DuWayne loved life on the farm and took great pride in working the land. DuWayne also worked many years as a rural mail carrier seeing that friends, family, and neighbors all received their mail in a timely manner.
DuWayne was strong-willed and not afraid to have an open and honest discussion with anyone and everyone. Wherever he traveled, he enjoyed finding commonality and conversation with strangers who often became friends. DuWayne loved his family and especially looked forward to going to sporting events for his grandchildren and cheering them on. He loved adventures out west, especially trips to Deadwood, S.D., to try his luck at gambling and taking in the scenery with Lesia.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Lesia Jaskulke of Granada, Minn.; mother, Marilyn Jaskulke; children, John (Carmen) Jaskulke of East Chain, Minn., Sarah (Kevin) Zabel of Blue Earth, Minn., Amanda Jaskulke of Huntley, Minn., and Josh (Tina) Jaskulke of East Chain, Minn.; grandchildren, Cael Jaskulke, Lily Jaskulke, Khloe Zabel, Bennett Zabel, Ethan Jaskulke, Wyatt Jaskulke, and Gavin Bussinger; siblings, Craig (Lois) Jaskulke, Dave (Deb) Jaskulke, and Bruce (Paula) Jaskulke; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
DuWayne was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Jaskulke; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Melva Lou Tonne; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
