ESTHERVILLE, Iowa -- Dr. Richard Lepird, 96, of Estherville, passed away on Aug. 14, 2026, at Avera Holy Family Hospital. A funeral service for Dr. Lepird will be held on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn, Minn. Visitation will be held at the Henry Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will take place at Estherville Lutheran Cemetery on Friday at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Dr. Lepird’s family requests memorials to LIGA International (Flying Doctors of Mercy) or St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sherburn.
