CARLTON -- Susan Carol Silker, of Carlton, Minn., passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at the age of 69.
Sue was born on May 10, 1957, in Fairmont, Minn. She later made her home in Carlton, where she spent the remainder of her life surrounded by family and friends.
Sue is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Neil Silker; her children, John Silker, Adam Silker, Emilie Silker, Joseph Silker, and Taylor Silker; her brothers, Randolph West and Timothy West; and her seven beloved grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne West; her father, Byrl West; and her sister, Victoria Byers.
Sue was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had an infectious personality and was always the life of the party. She cherished time with her family and friends and never missed an opportunity to laugh, celebrate, and create lasting memories.
She enjoyed cooking, hosting family gatherings and parties, traveling and going on adventures with Neil, and expressing her creativity through fashion and makeup. Her beautiful smile and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Sue will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her humor, honesty, and charm.
A funeral service celebrating Sue’s life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Jay Cooke State Park - Thomson Trail/Odenberg Point in Carlton, Minn.
A celebration of life with food and drinks will immediately follow at Four Seasons in Carlton. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend both the service and celebration as we gather to honor Sue’s life and share memories together.
