TRIMONT -- A Memorial Service for Maureen K. Pygman, age 77, of Trimont, Minn., will be 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont with visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Cedar Lutheran Cemetery, rural Trimont, at a later date. Maureen passed away on Saturday evening, July 25, 2026, at Goldfinch Memory Care in Fairmont. The Kramer Family Funeral Home of Trimont, Sherburn, and Welcome, Minn., is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Maureen Katherine (Nordby) Pygman was born on Dec. 9, 1948, in St. James, Minn. She was the daughter of Arnold and Ruth (Gasink) Nordby. Maureen attended Trimont public schools and graduated from Trimont High School in 1966.
On Sept. 19, 1965, Maureen was united in marriage to Thomas Pygman at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, Minn. The couple resided in Trimont where they were blessed with two sons, Cory and Shawn. The couple shared over sixty years together.
Maureen was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont where she was active with the ladies' aid, assisting with many funeral lunches over the years. She worked for over twenty-eight years in the school kitchen.
During her free time, Maureen enjoyed camping at RJ's where they loved visiting with friends over a cup of coffee and playing an untold number of card games at the campground card shack, including cribbage, 500, and many others. Most important to Maureen was the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren. She and Tom went to as many of their sporting events as they could.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Thomas Pygman; son, Shawn (Ann) Pygman; grandchildren, Brandon Pygman, and Luke (Sidney) Pygman; great grandchildren, Bear and Sunny Pygman; siblings, Glenys (Richard) Lorenz, and Paul (Jean) Kramer; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Janice (Steve) Frick, Joseph (Linda) Pygman, Ruth (Thomas) Hage, Gail Montemurno, and Julie Krueger; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Maureen was preceded in death by her father, Arnold (Mary) Nordby; mother, Ruth (Everett "Butch") Kramer; son, Cory Pygman; and brothers-in-law, Ronald Scott, and Glen Pygman.
