Betty J. Rezac
FARMINGTON — Betty J. Rezac, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 91.
Born in May 1935 in Mankato, after graduating from Loyola High School, Betty worked as a telephone operator for N.W. Bell Phone Company. On June 6, 1955, she married Norbert Rezac. Together they raised a family while they made their home in Minnesota and Iowa. They enjoyed 71 years of marriage. Betty worked at J.C Penney’s and Bubbles and Scents in retail but her true passion was creating beautiful things with her sewing machine. From simple alterations, to Barbie Doll clothes and Cabbage Patch Dolls, beautiful formal wear and gifts for the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was a talented seamstress and equally as handy with a crochet hook.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, and the many activities at her home at Legacy of Farmington, especially Bingo. She touched the lives of many through her friendship and talent that she shared. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and residents at Legacy of Farmington, Lifespark and Aegis PT/OT for their care, kindness and friendship that made the last several years joyful for Betty and our family.
She is survived by husband Norbert, children Vicki (Randy) Paine, Coon Rapids, Mark Rezac, Lakeville, Beth (Dan) Remarcke, Lakeville, and Dan (Cheri) Rezac, S.D. Grandchildren Cattryse (Dave) Schlagel, Nick (Terri) Paine, Taylor Rezac, Logan Rezac, Benjamin (Ellyn) Remarcke, Bryan Remarcke and Jolene Magsam, Andrew Jon (Kayla) Rezac, Allie (Josh) Morales and seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Vernon.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at Church of the Risen Savior in Burnsville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.
Betty’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
