Tammy A. Beam

BLUE EARTH — Tammy Annette Beam, age 63, passed away on June 5, 2026, in Blue Earth. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Patton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Online condolences can be left at www.pattonfh.com

Tammy was born March 1, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. She was the beloved daughter of the late Ruth Imogene Williams-Beam and Sherman “Doc” Jackson Beam Sr. Tammy was raised in a modest home, her mother was a dedicated homemaker, while her father was a mechanic with a deep passion for playing various instruments and writing songs. It was during these early years that Tammy blossomed into the warm-hearted woman everyone came to know. She definitely inherited her father’s love for singing.

For much of her adult life, Tammy remained in the Dallas area where she worked as an attendant at a nursing home and was also a waitress. Later in life, her journey brought her to Minnesota after she was introduced to Elmore native Darwin “Dar” Risk, son of the late Wayne Risk and Joyce Risk. Tammy and Darwin bonded closely over their mutual love for NASCAR racing and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.

Tammy leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and music – even if she sometimes got the lyrics wrong.

She is survived by her three children; Crystal Ann Holley-Wooster, Jack Lynn Holley and Gary Don Holley; her brother, Sherman Jackson Beam Jr., all from the Dallas area; Joyce Risk of Blue Earth, her close friend Amy and many other good friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents and her longtime companion Darwin Risk.
