He furthered his education at Mankato State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Management and Marketing with a minor in Economics.

On Sept. 25, 1993, Kory was united in marriage to Lisa Sternke at Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont. Kory and Lisa moved around for a few years due to Kory’s career, but eventually returned to Fairmont to raise their family. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Andrew, Madison, Emily, Jack, and Kate. Kory loved spending time with his kids and he truly loved being a dad. Kory and Lisa were happily married for over thirty-two years.

Kory worked as a Regional Sales Manager at Easy Automation Inc. in Welcome, Minn. for over twenty years. He had a strong work ethic, integrity, and genuine care for his customers. Kory made a friend wherever he went and would go out of his way to serve others. Kory was an active member of Bethel Evangelical Free Church. He was deeply committed to his faith and was always looking for opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Kory enjoyed playing pickleball, cornhole, golf, card games with his family, and watching the Vikings. What Kory loved most were the moments he shared with his family; he would do anything for his kids. He was always there to help them with whatever they needed and could fix almost anything.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lisa Hagen; children, Andrew (Miranda) Hagen, Madison (Aaron) Hendricks, Emily Hagen, Jack Hagen, and Kate Hagen; parents, Marlyn and Mary Ann Hagen; brothers, Kent (Barb) Hagen, and Kurt (Nancy) Hagen; and many cousins, other relatives, and numerous friends.
