Bernard (Bernie) Campbell
FAIRMONT — A Celebration of Life Service for Bernard Campbell (Bernie), 88, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Horicon Church of Christ Cemetery in rural Truman, Minn. Bernie passed away on Thursday morning, Feb. 26, 2026, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bernard Campbell (Bernie) was born on June 17, 1937, in Gillett Grove, Iowa. He lived in the area before moving to Truman, Minn. as a young boy. He attended Horicon Church of Christ where he met the love of his life Patty Scott. They were married in 1958 and raised their three children in Fairmont.
He spent his entire career at 3M. Bernie loved woodworking, time at the cabin and making memories with friends.
Bernie was most proud of his family who survive him: wife Pat, children Kim (Steve) Kutscheid, Greg Campbell, and Jenni (Craig) Diegnau; grandchildren Tyler (Oanh) Kutscheid, Kenzie Kutscheid, Madie (Michael) Hynes, Andrew Diegnau, Connor (Betsy) Diegnau, and Maisy (Logan) Jorgensen; great-grandchildren Cedar, Addie, Fen, Stetson, Duke, Charlee, Leo, Scout, Boone, Beatrice, Grahm and Summit.
