Darvin Hilpipre
FAIRMONT — Darvin Hilpipre passed away on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026 at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Darvin Dean Hilpipre, son of Dean and Janet (Zufall) Hilpipre was born May 10, 1953. He grew up on the family farms, first near Pilot Grove and later, by East Chain. Darvin attended both, East Chain School and then Granada-Huntley High School. After graduating, he continued his education at Jackson VoTec School, studying carpentry. While Darvin did work as a carpenter for a little while, those farm roots stayed with him, and he started his career in the ag chemical/fertilizer industry.
In his free time Darvin enjoyed meeting people, making and keeping friendships that spanned a lifetime. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing, traveling, and following the MN Gophers Women’s basketball team. Darvin was a proud member of the Martin County Conservation Club, Ducks Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever. He was also a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club, reflecting his lifelong connections to the land, outdoors, and conservation.
Above all, Darvin was a devoted family member. He attended every family gathering, celebration, and holiday. While he never sought the spotlight, his quiet presence, consistency, and loyalty were gifts to our family, which we will treasure forever.
Left to cherish Darvin’s memory are his brother, Dennis (Darlene) of Blue Earth; sister, Debra (Eddie) Kitson of Backus, Minn.; one uncle, two aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
Darvin was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Valerie; a niece and a brother-in-law.
Donations are preferred to the American Cancer Society and/or to the Martin County Conservation Club.
