Stephanie Ann Barke was born on Oct. 24, 1952, to Richard and Eunice (Berg) Barke in Fairmont, Minn. She attended Fairmont Public Schools graduating with the Class of 1973. Stephanie was active in 4-H throughout her school years and participated in STEP events after high school. She enjoyed her St. John’s UCC church family and was a faithful member of the Women’s Guild.

Stephanie lived with her parents on their Rutland township farm until moving to Goldfinch Memory Care in 2022. Stephanie loved meeting people and was interested in learning each person’s story. She soon became the unofficial greeter at Goldfinch remembering each staff, resident and visitor’s names.

On Jan. 10, 2026, Stephanie died peacefully in her sleep at the age of seventy-three. Stephanie was a loving older sister who will truly be missed by her family. She was a precious child of God and we are comforted that she is now reunited with her parents in their heavenly home.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Patricia Richards of Blue Earth, Minn.; brothers, John (Jan) Barke of Roseville, Minn., and Bill (Alicia) Barke of Fairmont, Minn.; nieces and nephews, Sarah Darula, Becca (Jordan) Moen, William (Elke) Richards, Jenna (Adam) Van Proosdy, Jacob (Rachel) Barke, Joe Barke (Alyssa Bauer), Jack Barke, and Nick Barke; and great nieces and great nephews, Avery and Mackenzie Darula, Connor and Cora Moen, Aasta and Ingrid Richards and Ceci Van Proosdy.

Along with her parents, Richard and Eunice Barke, Stephanie was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Doug Richards.
