Allene R. Anderson

TRIMONT — Allene R. (Conlin) Anderson, age 101, of Mapleton, and formerly of Trimont, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton, Minn.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Allene at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center – Trimont/Trimont United Methodist Church (111 Apple Street East, Trimont, MN 56176) with Pastor Rachel Morrison officiating. The service will be recorded and available afterwards on Allene’s obituary page.

Visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center – Trimont/Trimont United Methodist Church (111 Apple Street East, Trimont, MN 56176). Visitation will also take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Allene will be laid to rest next to her husband at Cedar Hill Cemetery in rural Trimont.

Allene Rae (Conlin) Anderson was born on June 17, 1924, to Arthur and Mary (Packard) Conlin in Galena Township, Monterey, Minn., on the north end of Cedar Lake. She attended District 102 Country School and later graduated from Trimont High School in 1942. Allene continued her education at Mankato State College and went on to teach in rural schools throughout Rice and Watonwan Counties.

On June 17, 1945, Allene was united in marriage to Ronald Anderson at the Triumph Methodist Church. The couple made their home on the Galena farm near Odin, Minn., where they lived until 1981 before moving to Trimont. Together, they enjoyed spending winters in Texas and summers at Lake Koronis in Minnesota.

Allene was deeply involved in the Trimont United Methodist Church, where she served faithfully in many roles, including as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, United Methodist Women President, Fellowship Chairman, and Church Board Secretary. She was also an active member of TASK, the Odin Farmer’s Club, the Trimont Museum, the Lakeview Methodist Home Auxiliary, Trimont Senior Citizens, Trimont American Legion Auxiliary, and several card clubs.

Allene will forever be remembered by her children, Leslie Anderson, Mark (Louise) Anderson, Dennis (Garla) Anderson, Tom (Julie) Anderson; grandchildren, Shawna Anderson, Carissa (Joe) Mattice, Nowell (Tory) Anderson, Elyse (Judah) Chezick, Travis (Amber) Anderson, Kristi Anderson, Jacob (Ashley) Anderson, and Kelsey (Nate) Mosterd; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Allene was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; infant twin daughter, Louise Elizabeth; parents, Arthur and Mary Conlin; sisters, Verna (Carol) Rice and Evelyn (Marvin) Poppe; daughter-in-law, Virginia Anderson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, August and Della (Hanson) Anderson; sister-in-law, Betty (Ralph) Carlson.
