OAKDALE, Calif. — In Loving Memory. Ann passed away peacefully on Nov. 11, 2025, in Modesto, Calif., surrounded by the warmth and love of her family and friends. Born on Aug. 28, 1956, in Fairmont, Minn., Ann was the daughter of Louis and Marjorie (Nutt) Nawrocki. She grew up in Fairmont, graduating from Fairmont High School in 1974. Shortly after, Ann brought her kind spirit to Oakdale, Calif., where she established her home and raised her two children. Throughout her life, Ann found great peace and joy in the beauty of the California coast. She had a profound love for the ocean and cherished her time sitting by the shore in Half Moon Bay, where she spent many hours listen to the sounds of the waves and watching the tides. Ann’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to her son, Evan, and daughter, Vanessa. Her legacy of love continues through her six “delightful grandchildren” – who were the lights of her life. Ann will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her Children: Evan (Monica) Castaneda of Oakdale, Calif., and Vanessa (Axel) Michicoj of Modesto, Calif.; Sister: Susan (Craig) Nawrocki Skiem of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Grandchildren: Eli, Amelia, Ben, Celeste, Scarlet, and David; many nieces, nephews, and a vast circle of “countless friends” who became like family over the years. Ann was preceded in death by her father, Louis; her mother, Marjorie; and her brother, Bruce Nawrocki. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Dec. 20 via Zoom.
