Evelyn M. Poulson

FAIRMONT — A Celebration of Life for Evelyn M. Poulson, age 90, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Burial will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, at Lakeview Funeral Home. Evelyn passed away on Saturday evening, Nov. 22, 2025, at Heartland Senior Living in Truman, Minn. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Evelyn Marlys (Huemoeller) Poulson was born on Feb. 1, 1935, to Frederick and Wilhelmina (Meyer) Huemoeller in Fairmont, Minn. She received her education from Fairmont Public Schools.

On June 7, 1953, Evelyn was united in marriage to Duane Franklin Poulson in Fairmont, Minn. This marriage was blessed with five children, Michael, Randy, Keith, Michelle and Kim. They made their home on the Poulson family farm and later moved to Truman for a short time and in 1961 they moved to Fairmont. Evelyn worked at Stokley-Van Camp in Fairmont for many years and then did cleaning through ServiceMaster for several businesses before working in housekeeping at Lakeview Methodist Heath Care Center in Fairmont.

Evelyn was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont and previously as a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont where she was active in the church choir. Evelyn enjoyed word searches and watching old shows on the television. She was a doting grandma who helped watch her grandchildren often and attend their sporting events. She loved spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her four children, Randy Poulson of Trimont, Keith (Jodi) Poulson of Fairmont, Michelle Eversman of Fairmont and Kim Bulfer (Dave Harmelink) of Fairmont; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Ryan (Elizabeth) Nelson and their son, Hazen, Courtney (Casey) Schoellerman and their children, Della, Ridley and Brylee, Joshua (Hannah) Eversman and their daughter, Cecelia and one on the way, Shannon (Caleb) Nowicki and their children, Harper, Clay and Adam, Corey Bulfer, Sara Pittman’s children, Halie Schofield, Jaxson Thate and Trinity Thate and Tony Poulson; brother-in-law, Richard (Elaine) Poulson of New Ulm; and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane Poulson; son, Michael Poulson; granddaughter, Sara Pittman; son-in-law, Bruce Eversman; and other brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws.
