Dolores was a graduate of Welcome High School and later graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in 1945. She worked most of her life for Frontier Communications, starting in Fairmont and moving to Burnsville when they moved the offices there. She was strong-willed and fiercely independent. She loved her family, loved to dance and loved to laugh. She loved to shop and eat out.

Dolores is survived by her daughter, Kathy Borchardt of Fairmont, her three grandchildren and their children, Tiffaney Kelly (Tim) Colin, Colette and Magali of California. Nita Borchardt (Eric Ludacer) McKenna, Mahren and Easton of Fairmont, Greg Borchardt, Andre and Axel of California and her sister Mary Richie of Farmington.

Dolores was preceded in death by her daughter, Juanita Wickert, her parents, Albert and Anna (Janssen) Studer, and her sister, Betty Welp, who passed on April 12, 2025, at the age of 96.

Burial will be held at a later date at St. Luke’s Church in Sherburn, Minn.
