Arlyn K. Jensen

EAST CHAIN — A Funeral Service for Arlyn K. Jensen, age 91, of East Chain, Minn., will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church in East Chain, Minn. Burial will be held following the service in the East Chain Evangelical Free Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36 and Martin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1222. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arlyn passed away Saturday morning, November 15, 2025, at the United Hospital District in Blue Earth, Minn. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Arlyn Keith Jensen was born on Aug. 6, 1934, to Raymond and Margaret (Hugoson) Jensen in Fairmont, Minn. He graduated from East Chain High School with the Class 1954. Arlyn served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956.

On Aug. 20, 1955, Arlyn was united in marriage to Marilyn Teigland in East Chain. This marriage was blessed with five children, Kristine, Neil, Kent, Jill and Ronda. Arlyn and Marilyn lived in El Paso, Texas for one year while Arlyn was in the military before coming back to the East Chain area to farm. They farmed, raised hogs and cattle and had a dairy herd. In 1985, they moved to the Minnetonka, Minn. area, where they worked as caretakers until retiring in 1997 and moved back to East Chain.

Arlyn was a longtime, faithful member of the East Chain Evangelical Free Church. He was also a member of the Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36 in Fairmont. Arlyn had a love for being out in the garden and tending to his plants. He will be remembered as a collector and enjoyed antiquing. In his younger years, he loved being out on the lake and boating. Arlyn loved to travel, especially to Mazatlán, which he did for the past thirty-five years. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Kris (Kurt) Isenberg of East Chain, Neil (Jane) Jensen of Fairmont, Kent (Cindy) Jensen of Fairmont, and Ronda Lindgren of East Chain; 16 grandchildren, Kelly (Josh) Vogtt, Kyle (Olivia) Isenberg, Ashley Jensen, Brittany (David) Steinke, Josiah Jensen, Kirk (Sarah) Jensen, Katie Hardt, Andrew (Chelsea) Jensen, Jens (Debbie) Douglas, Caleb (Lynnae) Douglas, Taylor (Samantha) Douglas, Parker (Rebecca) Douglas, Amanda (Matt) Machin, Bill Lindgren, Michael Lindgren and Rachel Lindgren; forty-eight great-grandchildren; brother, Russell (Carol) Jensen of Fairmont; brothers-in-law, Donnie (Sonja) Hanson of Caledonia, Ill., and Wendell Owens of Princeton; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Margaret Jensen; wife, Marilyn Jensen; daughter, Jill Douglas; brother and sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Bill) Cole, Beverly Owens, Annie Hanson, Ann Jensen, Marlon (Fern) Teigland; other sisters-in-laws and extended family.
