A Celebration of Life service will be held for Olson at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept.19, at First Lutheran Church in Trimont.

Visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center – Trimont Chapel. Visitation will also take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church on Friday. Olson will be laid to rest at First Lutheran Cemetery in rural Trimont with full military honors provided by the American Legion Foster-Bernhardt Post 373.

Olson was born to Ervin and Eva Olson in Fairmont, Minn., on March 1, 1942.

Olson is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Karen; his children, Brian, Pamela, and Angela; grandchildren; step-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Jack Bursell, and Dale Anderson; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
