FAIRMONT — William Kent “Bill” Hequet, age 68, passed away June 29 at his home in Fairmont, Minn. Bill was a 1975 graduate of Fairmont High School and a 30-year employee at Sterling Drug in Fairmont. He was a faithful companion and help to his mother during her stay in memory care, with daily visits. In his own retirement, he became a familiar figure on his daily walks. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Velora Kraft “Val” Hequet; and sister, Marcelline Shurmantine. Survivors include his brother, Marc Hequet of St. Paul, Minn. A private family memorial service was held July 13, 2025.
