Gail Melson was called to her eternal rest on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 12, 2025 at her home in rural Butterfield, Minn. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and one hour prior to the services at the church in Odin. Kramer Family Funeral Home of Sherburn, Trimont and Welcome, are in charge of Melson’s arrangements.

Gail Virginia Redmond was born on July 24, 1937 to Lee and Lorene (Conley) Redmond in St. James, Minn.

Melson is survived by her two daughters, Pat Johnson of rural Dunnell, Minn. and Julie Nelson of Ormsby, Minn.; grandchildren; sister-in-law, June Johnson of Rochester, Minn.; nieces and nephews and other relatives.
