Lloyd Allan Scheff
SHERBURN – Lloyd Allan Scheff was born July 24 1949 to Lyle and Viola (Klug) Scheff in Fairmont, Minn. Lloyd passed away from lung cancer on July 25, 2025, a day after his 76th birthday. He was at Ft. Harrison, Va. Medical Center, Helena, Montana.
He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran church in Sherburn, Minn. Lloyd graduated in 1968 from Sherburn High School. As a teenager he helped his parents on the farm and was given a 1956 Chevy, it was his pride and joy.
Lloyd was drafted into the US Marine Corp in Sept. 1969 and was honorably discharged in May 1971. After discharge he attended Mankato State University in Minn. His interest and studies were in mining technology. He also worked in highway construction on the I-90 freeway. He continued studying mining technology in the energy fields of Wyoming and Montana. At this time he was a heavy equipment operator. After living in Mont. for many years, he did residential renovation of vintage homes. Following retirement Lloyd enjoyed working at Costco.
Lloyd had a one of a kind free spirit and loved having a good time! He had a kind heart for animals. He loved Montana and called it God’s Country.
Lloyd is survived by Lana Scheff, Calif., Larry (Laura) Scheff, Wis., Leah (Greg Davy) Scheff, Ariz., Layne Scheff, Ariz., several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many cousins. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Lyle and Viola, sister Lynn Hybbert, niece Lindsey Hybbert, several aunts and uncles.
