Marilyn W. Pierson

TRIMONT — Marilyn W. Pierson, 80, of Sherburn, Minn., and formerly of Trimont, Minn., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Mayo Hospital, St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, Minn.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for Pierson at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28, at First Lutheran Church.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center – Trimont Chapel. That same Sunday evening at 6 p.m., “Sundaes in the Park” will be held at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center, one of Pierson’s favorite Trimont traditions. All are warmly invited to attend in her honor.
Visitation will also take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church on Monday. Pierson will be in the Butterfield City Cemetery, next to her husband, Butch, who passed away on Feb. 2, 2021.
Marilyn Wyona Pierson was born on May 6, 1945, to Sylvester and Gebka Curry in St. James, Minn.
Pierson is survived by her daughters, Melinda Eddihi of Bloomington, Minn., and Jennifer Beseke of Sherburn, Minn.; four grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Theresa Curry of St. James, Ruby Ekstrom of Butterfield, Vivian Blomgren of Mountain Lake, Eloise Zellmer of Cokato; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
