Diane K. Roforth-Smith

FIRESTONE, Colo., formerly of FAIRMONT, Minn. — A Funeral Service for Diane K. Roforth-Smith, 77, of Firestone, Colo., formerly of Fairmont, Minn., will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, at St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop, Minn. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the church in Northrop. Burial will follow the luncheon at Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont. Diane passed away Sunday morning, June 8, 2025, at Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont, Colo. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Diane Kristine Roforth-Smith, daughter of Harold and Laura (Bielenberg) Roforth, was born on Oct. 12, 1947, in Staples, Minn. She graduated from Fairmont High School. After high school, Diane attended Mankato State University for her Undergraduate degree and then attended St. Thomas for her Masters degree. Diane worked as a financial controller for a manufacturing company for many years.

Diane was married to Stan J. Kliebenstein and they later divorced. In November of 1992, Diane was united in marriage to David F. Roforth-Smith. They made their home in several different areas including Prior Lake, Minn., Sedalia, Colo, South Fla. and Naples, Fla. David passed away on Nov. 29, 2024.

Diane was a member of Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church in Naples, Fla. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Monique (Mike) Jensen of Shakopee, Minn., Nick (Tara) Kliebenstein of Firestone, Colo., JoAnne Fulton of Wales, UK and Claire Smith of Wales, UK; grandchildren, Alex Jensen, Amanda Jensen, Evelyn Kliebenstein, Nora Kliebenstein and Dillon Smith; brother, Kevin (Sherri) Roforth of Fairmont, Minn.; sister, Luanne (Craig) Johnson of Tucson, Ariz.; nieces, Crystal (Ryan) Stowe, Cassie (Greg) Fisher, Hilary Johnson and Kelly (Paul) Johnson; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Laura Roforth; husband, David Roforth-Smith; son, Aaron M. Kliebenstein; daughter, Laura A. Kliebenstein; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Ethel Smith.
