HENDERSON, Nev. — With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Gary Lee Gewerth, 70, on June 16, 2025. Born Sept. 6, 1954, in Sleepy Eye, Minn. to parents Herbert and Geraldine Gewerth. Moved to Fairmont, Minn. in 1965. Gary graduated from Fairmont High School in 1974. Gary attended Hutchison Voch Tech for one year before joining the army. Gary married his best friend and love of his life, Joy Waldon on Jan. 15, 1977. Gary and Joy, moved to Henderson, Nev. in 1987. He retired in 2020 from the Palazzo Casino as an engineer. Gary and Joy loved traveling and camping with their RV. His pride was his 1956 Chevy Nomad that he restored and showcased in local car shows, winning several awards. Gary is survived by wife and best friend of 48 wonderful years, Joy Gewerth. beloved children daughter; Jamie (Rene), son: David (Kayla), Beloved grandkids: Christina, Donny, Jasmine, Bryan, and Kathryn. Great Granddaughter Lilliana, Father: Herbert Gewerth, sister: Linda Range (Dale), all of Henderson, Nev. Gary is preceded in passing by daughter Krissie (James). Mother Geraldine Gewerth. A Catholic funeral service for Gary will be held at St. Thomas More Henderson, Nev, on July 11, at 11 a.m.
