FORT WORTH, Texas — Joan B. Opheim of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away at Heart to Heart Hospice House in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 12, 2025, surrounded by her children. Visitation for Joan will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 27, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Both events will take place at First United Methodist Church in Emmetsburg, Iowa.
Joan was born on April 15, 1940, to Archie and Edna (O’Clair) Halstead in Emmetsburg, Iowa, She passed away on June 12, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. She is survived by her children Michele Opheim and Doug (Laurie) Opheim; sisters Patricia (Brian) Rike and Carmen Kaneer; and daughter-in-law Becky Opheim.
