Jason M. Carter

JACKSON — Jason Michael Carter was born on March 20, 1972, in Lakefield, Minn., to Patricia Carter. He attended school in Jackson and Fairmont, graduating in the class of 1990. After high school, Jason attended Jackson Vocational School for Carpentry.

Jason was a proud father to two Daughters, Danielle and Rilynn, who were the light of his life. On April 24, 2015, Jason married the love of his life, Michelle, at Gilbert Park in Spirit Lake, surrounded by family and friends.

He dedicated many years to his work at Agco in Jackson, beginning as a welder and later becoming a robotic welding technician. Jason took great pride in his craft, known for his precision and strong work ethic. He remained a loyal and accomplished employee until he became ill in December of 2024.

Jason took pleasure in participating in a pool league, carpentry, attending races, experiencing various concerts, cooking, engaging in creative drawing, and all things Vikings and purple. He enjoyed going to the Renaissance with family. A notable highlight of his travels was the visit to the Glensheen Mansion with Michelle.

Jason passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family. He lived a joyous 53 years.

Jason is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle; daughters, Danielle Carter, Rilynn Carter; two grandsons, Konner Carter, Bentlee Matthews; mother, Patty Carter; brother, Chris Johnston; mother-in-law, LeAnn McDonalds, as well as many friends and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Lucile Carter, Ervin Carter and friends; Jeff Larson and Christine Gottsche.
