While in high school, Alice met John Russenberger, and on Dec. 16, 1956, they were united in marriage in Sherburn, Minn. The couple made their home in Fairmont before making moves to Trimont, Sherburn, Alpha, and returning to Fairmont. They then moved to Iowa, where they lived on a farm for many years before moving into Royal.
During their marriage, Alice and John enjoyed attending dances, especially polka dances held at the Fox Lake Ballroom, Interlaken Ballroom, Stateline and many other area venues.
