Ronny D. Klein

ELMORE — Ronny Dean Klein, 71, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Mapleton Community Home after a short battle with lymphoma. A Funeral Service for Ronny is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Elmore United Methodist Church with Pastor Janelle Jacobsen officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 16, at Patton Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Elmore.
Ronny was born on April 16, 1954, in Blue Earth, Minn., to Donald and Doris (Holcomb) Klein. He was a lifelong resident of Elmore and graduated from Elmore High School in 1972. Ronny was baptized and confirmed member of Elmore United Methodist Church.
Ronny was an employee at Abel Trucking for several years before his over 30-year employment with Darling Ingredients Inc. His strong work ethic and friendly demeanor made him a cherished colleague.
On Sept. 8, 1988, Ronny became a father to Chelsie and Sheila. He was blessed to enjoy his past 15 years with his life partner, Barb Utzka.
Ronny loved farm life, raising his cattle and farming the crops. He also enjoyed driving his “the scenic route”. Above all, Ronny treasured spending time with his family and friends, always cherishing the moments they shared together. His strong faith and commitment to his loved ones never wavered, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Ronny is survived by his daughters, Sheila Klein and Chelsie (Jeremy) Wink; grandson, Caleb Wink; life partner, Barb Utzka; sister, Barb (Steve) Frandle; brother, Larry (Karen) Klein; three nieces, two cousins and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and cousin, Brenda DeVlaeminer.
