Janice M. Mosloski

FAIRMONT — Mass of Christian Burial for Janice M. Mosloski, 82, of Fairmont, Minn, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Burial will be held in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in East Chain, Minn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Janice passed away on Friday morning, Oct. 11, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Janice Marie (Pettey) Mosloski was born Aug. 19, 1942, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Russell and Velma (Griggs) Pettey. Janice attended grade school and junior high school in Mason City, Iowa. During her sophomore year, Janice and her family moved to Blue Earth, Minn, where Janice attended high school and graduated from Blue Earth High School.

On June 10, 1967, Janice was united in marriage to Ronald Mosloski in East Chain, Minn. This union was blessed with two children, Cherie and Tory. Janice worked as a waitress for several years and helped Ron on the farm. Janice and Ron made their home on a farm in rural Silver Lake Township and were blessed to share over fifty-seven years of marriage together.

Janice was a past member of the Fairmont Eagles Club #3394. Janice knew her way around the kitchen and could whip up a delicious meal or wonderful baked good for any occasion. Her quiet time was spent working on one of her many embroidery projects and quilting. She looked forward to nights out playing BINGO with friends and putting puzzles together. Family was extremely important to Janice, and she cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ronald Mosloski; daughter, Cherie Taylor; son, Tory (Melissa) Mosloski; grandchildren, Tanisha, Denzel, and Ava and Jordan, Carter, and Avery; great grandchildren, Isaiah, and Alaïa; sisters-in-law, Barbara Pettey, Pauline Pettey, and Helen Mosloski; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Russell Pettey; mother, Velma Griggs; stepfather, Bobby Griggs; grandson, Tyshawn Taylor; two brothers, Patrick Pettey and Larry Pettey; parents-in-law, Frank and Meta Mosloski; two brothers-in-law, Marlin Mosloski and Edward Kotewa; and sister-in-law, LaVonne Kotewa.

Memorials are preferred to the Knights of Columbus.
