Pat L. Ehlert

FAIRMONT — Memorial services for Pat L. Ehlert, 91, of Fairmont, Minn, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fairmont with burial held in Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fairmont. Pat passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024, at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Patricia “Pat” Lee (Anderson) Ehlert was born on Jan. 23, 1933, in Albert Lea, Minn, the daughter of Harry and Anita (Rosenbrock) Anderson. She attended grade school in Oakland, Minn, before making the move to Austin, Minn, where she attended high school.

On Nov. 26, 1950, Pat was united in marriage to Meryle D. Ehlert at the Oakland Presbyterian Church in Oakland, Minn. Together the couple made their home in Fairmont where they were blessed with six children, Peggy, Debra, Rodney, Jeffery, Ann and Lori.

Pat enjoyed working retail and spent many years working at Montgomery Ward and Sears. She then went on to work at Western Café before spending 18 years working at Fleet and Farm in Fairmont, retiring on April 1, 1998. In her retirement, Pat enjoyed working at MRCI.

Faith was an important part of Pat’s life. She was a long-time member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fairmont where she served her church in many different roles in addition to being a member of the church quilting club. Pat enjoyed the friendships she made while being a member of Tops Minn. 442 and the Forever 50 Club. She treasured spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Debra Erickson, Jeffery (Kim) Ehlert, Ann McGranahan, and Lori (Connan) Lee; daughter-in-law, Terri Ehlert; 11 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 3 step-great-great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson (on the way); brother, Paul (Jan) Anderson; sister-in-law, Rita Wendland; special friend, Barb Berg; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Anita Anderson; husband, Meryle Ehlert; daughter, Peggy Ehlert; son, Rodney Ehlert; son-in-law, David McGranahan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Fern Ehlert; three sisters-in-law and seven brothers-in-law.
