FAIRMONT — Celebrating the Life of James “Jim” Simser, 85, of Fairmont, Minn. Simser passed away surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. There will be military honors outside of the church following the service provided by the Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36 and Martin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1222. The interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
