Elizabeth J. Baldwin

MINNETONKA — Funeral services for Elizabeth J. Baldwin, 61, of Minnetonka, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Trimont. Burial will be held following the service in Sherburn Cemetery in Sherburn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service from 1:00 — 2:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Trimont. Beth passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, near Palisade, Minn. Kramer Family Funeral Home of Sherburn, Trimont, and Welcome is assisting the family with arrangements.

Elizabeth Jane Baldwin was born on Jan. 26, 1963, in Minneapolis, Minn., the daughter of Marlo Dean and Marlen Jo (Lindahl) Baldwin. She attended school in Hopkins, Minn., and graduated from Lindberg High School with the class of 1981. Beth went on to further her education by attending Northwestern University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1985. She then made the move back to the Twin Cities attended Law School at the University of Minnesota and graduated with her Juris Doctor degree in 1988. In 1993, Beth graduated from Ohio State University after earning her master’s degree in public administration.

Beth was passionate about law and enjoyed working as the Municipal Court Administrator for the Iowa 5th District Cout. She also worked for the Seattle Court and most recently had been working at the Federal Immigration Court in Minneapolis, Minn.

On Sept. 8, 2018, Beth was united in marriage to Roger Walker at Mount Rushmore in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Lake Stevens, Wash. before returning home to Minn. and residing in Minnetonka.

Beth loved to read and could often be found in a quiet place with a new book, reading intently. She enjoyed the beauty of nature and cherished the views of the sunrises and sunsets at the family cabin in Grand Rapids, Minn. Beth was an avid traveler and treasured the many memories made with her mom, Marlene traveling all over the world to places such as Egypt, Turkey, China, Hong Kong, Peru, Bolivia, Germany, Poland, Greece, England, Italy, France, Austria, and Serbia. Beth enjoyed cheering on her favorite Minnesota sports teams, especially the Minnesota Twins and she had a special place in her heart for her four-legged friends, Shasha and Mia.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Roger Walker of Minnetonka, Minn.; brother, Dr. Matthew Baldwin and his wife, Mira of Lake Elmo, Minn.; nephew, Jonathan Baldwin of Fort Worth, Texas, and twin nieces, Daniella and Gabriella Baldwin of Annapolis, Md. (Naval Academy); aunt, Judy Carlson; a cousin, Thomas Eckmann; as well as many other extended family and friends.

Beth was preceded in death by her mother, Marlene Baldwin, and her father, Marlo Baldwin.
