Parker J. Smith
LAKEVILLE — A Celebration of Life Service for Parker J. Smith, 63, of Lakeville, Minn, formerly of Mankato, Minn, will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont with inurnment in the Sherburn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Lakeview Funeral Home. Smith passed away on Saturday morning, September 28, 2024, at Edenbrook of Edina in Edina, MN. Kramer Family Funeral Homes of Welcome, Sherburn, and Trimont id assisting the family with arrangements.
Smith was born on April 12, 1961, the son of James and Dorothy (Winter) Smith in Hennepin County, Minn. He graduated from Mankato West High School with the Class of 1979. After high school, Smith attended South Central Community College in Mankato. Parker worked in the security department at Honeywell in Plymouth, Minn. for several years.
Smith enjoyed collecting animal and outdoor photography, watching old movies and his dogs. He was an avid Minnesota Viking and Minnesota Twins fan.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Dorothy Smith; sister, Paula (Dan) Hoppe; nephews, Jesse (KaeLynn) Hoppe and Cody Hoppe; great-nephew, Edwin Hoppe; and other extended relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Smith; grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and other extended relatives.
