Harvey passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, at his home in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Harvey Wilbert Moeller was born Oct. 14, 1943, in Fairmont, Minn., the son of Arthur and Elsie (Buhmann) Moeller. He attended country school and Fairmont public school, graduating from Fairmont High School. Following high school Harvey enlisted in the Army National Guard and proudly served his country until earning his honorable discharge.

On July 14, 1967, Harvey was united in marriage to Susan Ruth Simon at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fairmont, Minn. Harvey and Susan made their home on the Moeller Family Farm northwest of Fairmont and celebrated the birth of four children, Jennifer, Jeff, Chad and Scott.

Harvey was a farmer through and through. From raising grain and livestock to baling and the all-important harvest, Harvey found joy in all aspects of life on the farm and took great pride in farming the family farm. Harvey and Susan worked on the farm together and where one was, the other was close behind. After nearly 56 years of marriage, Susan passed away in May 2023 and Harvey missed her greatly. He found time each day to visit her at the cemetery, often bringing flowers to place on her grave. Family was extremely important to Harvey, and he treasured spending time with his children and grandchildren and cheering them on in their many endeavors. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fairmont and served his church in many various roles throughout the years.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jennifer Moeller, Jeffrey (Heather) Moeller, Chad (Rebecca) Moeller and Scott (Rachel) Moeller; grandchildren, Alexander Schliesmann and his fiancée Hailey Leiding, Jaclyn (Timothy) Tow, Morgan (Cody) Roberts, Marissa (Brandon) Poppe, Matthew (Jayden) Moeller, Marcus (Alisa) Moeller, Mercedes (Tyler) Moulton, Emilee Moeller, Andrew Moeller, Benjamin Moeller, Calvin Moeller, Olivia Moeller and Will Moeller; great-grandchildren, Saylor Schliesmann, Watson Tow, Braxtyn Roberts, Jaxton Roberts, Keenan Poppe, Kayvry Poppe, Kailer Poppe, Colson Moeller and Madden Moeller; sister-in-law, Sammie Moeller; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Joyce) Simon, Daryl (Vonnie) Simon and Steve (Teresa) Simon; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Moeller; parents, Arthur and Elsie Moeller; stepmother, Elvera (Block) Moeller; brother, Arvin Moeller, two stepsisters, Lois Wiborg and Janice Block; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willard and Helen Simon; and a brother-in-law, Leslie Wiborg.
