Bob passed away Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, at his home near Granada, Minn. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert Dale Green Jr was born July 22, 1952, in St. Cloud, Minn., the son of Robert and Doris (Strain) Green. He grew up on the family farm near East Chain and attended elementary school both in Blue Earth and East Chain and graduated from East Chain High School.

Bob loved life on the farm and relished the opportunity to continue on the family tradition of working the land. He was united in marriage to Diane Fay Nowak and the couple later divorced.

Bob was blessed to find love again, when he reconnected with and later married Patricia Ann Haugen in Honolulu, Hawaii on Feb. 19, 1982. The couple made their home on the family farm and were blessed to celebrate 42 years of marriage together.

Bob’s passion in life was farming and he took great pride in his work as a farmer. Bob cherished spending time with family and friends and was a member of East Chain Lutheran Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Patricia Green of Granada, Minn.; children, Michele Green of Hopkins, Minn. and Kyle (Kayla) Green of Fairmont, Minn.; grandchildren, Kylee Green and fiancé, Brad of Fargo, N.D., Kameryn Green of Fargo, N.D. and Charles Green of Fairmont, Minn.; siblings, Pat (Ken) Buhmann, Lois (Craig) Jaskulke, Rick (Denise) Green, Randy (Marilyn) Green and Tom (Jeannie) Green; as well as many other extended family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris Green; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Mary Haugen; special cousin and friend, Chuck Green; other relatives and friends.
