Tim passed away from battling several medical conditions on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at his home in Armstrong. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Timothy Lee Thompson was born June 10, 1959, to Alvin “Bud” and Alma (Pochardt) Thompson in Fairmont, Minn. He graduated from Sherburn High School, then attended VoTech College in Jackson to be an electrician. Tim served in the U.S. Army from June 1977 to June 1980.

Tim worked hogs for many years and later went to work for Corn Plus in Winnebago where he retired in 2017. He lived in Fox Lake, Minn. for many years until moving to Armstrong in 2023.

Tim enjoyed being outside fishing and camping and he loved to plan building projects. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Melissa (Joe) Waller of Armstrong, Iowa; three grandchildren, Madison Waller, Hailey Waller and Johnathon Waller; sister, Tammy (Dave) Hill of Fox Lake, Minn.; brother, Tom Thompson of Fairmont, Minn.; special friend, Diane Paskey; other extended family and friends.
