BLUE EARTH — Jerome “Jerry” D. Sonich, 81, passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. A celebration of life service for Jerry will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with visitation from 9:30-11 a.m. at the church. Following the service, interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth.

Jerome “Jerry” was born Dec. 21, 1942, in Rockford, Ill., the son of Lt. Col. John and Marjorie Sonich.

Survivors include: his wife, Janice (Thompson) Sonich of Blue Earth; his daughters, Michele Stewart of Elmore and Heidi Sanchez of Hayfield; his son, John Sonich of Mankato; five grandchildren; a sister in Washington State; other relatives and friends.
