FAIRMONT — A funeral service for Eldeen R. Koch, age 70, of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel in Fairmont. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, Fairmont.

Eldeen passed away Tuesday evening, July 30, 2024, at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Eldeen Rae was born June 2, 1954, to Robert and Winifred Ann (Hiebert) Thimesch in Fairmont, Minn. Growing up she attended school in Fairmont and was a member of the 1972 graduating class from Fairmont High School.

On Oct. 5, 1974, Eldeen was united in marriage to Richard J. Koch at the United Methodist Church in Fairmont. This union was blessed with two children, Kimberly and Shawn.

Eldeen worked at Fairmont National Bank before providing daycare for a few years and then later worked at JH Larson Electric. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and going bowling. She was a talented sewer and often looked forward to camping trips with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Richard Koch of Fairmont; children, Kimberly (Benjamin) Sullivan of Rochester, Minn. and Shawn Koch of Fairmont; granddaughter, Madalyn Koch; sisters, Lynn (John) Steiner and Vickie (James) Roebbeke; brother, Terry Thimesch; beloved pet, Rusty; other extended family and many friends.
