Duane L. Hanson
EDMOND, Okla. — Duane Larry Hanson, loving husband, father, grandfather and chiropractor, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at his home, at the age of 72. A celebration of life service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 308 NW 164th St. in Edmond, Okla., with viewing from 10-10:50 a.m.
He was born March 16, 1952, in Flandreau, S.D., son of Milton and Delphine Hanson. Duane grew up in Fairmont, Minn. He met his wife, Linda, on the shores of Fox Lake and they were married in 1971. They moved to Chicago, Ill. where he completed his Doctor of Chiropractic
degree from National College of Chiropractic. His son, Ryan, was born there. They moved to Oklahoma to start his practice in 1975 and continued there for 49 years. His daughter, Tiffany was born in 1978.
He was an incredibly gifted chiropractor and had patients visit him from all over the world. He has been recognized numerous times in his profession for not only being successful in his practice but also in training and developing others. He loved God and made sure others knew about Him as well.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda (Heng) Hanson; his son, Ryan Hanson and his wife, April Hanson; his daughter, Tiffany Labrecque and her husband, Jimmy Labrecque; mother, Delphine Hanson; his sisters, Diane Leudtke, Sandra Luhmann and Brenda Johnson; brothers, David Hanson, William Hanson, Thomas Hanson and Robert Hanson; brother-in-law, Bruce Heng and his wife, Suzanne Heng; grandchildren, Adam Hanson, Jack Hanson, Alyssa Labrecque, Lucas Labrecque and Charis Labrecque; and his sweet dog, Zoe.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Hanson; his father-in-law, Doc Marion Heng and his wife, Edna Heng. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Duane’s honor can be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran School in Edmond, Okla.
