LAKE CRYSTAL — Mitchell “Mitch” Lee Johnson, 44, of Lake Crystal, Minn., formerly of Welcome, Minn., sadly passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of life ceremony will be held 4-8 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at the Welcome Legion Hall, 112 N. Dugan St. in Welcome.

Mitch was born June 26, 1980 to Bruce and Kathy Johnson in Fairmont, Minn. Mitch graduated in 1999 from Martin County West High School.

While living in Shakopee, Minn., he met his future wife Megan, and they were married in October 2012. They moved to Lake Crystal, Minn. in 2015 to start a family.

He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and coworkers at Timpte Inc. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his wife, had a love for golf, wakesurfing, and spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Megan; son, Cayden; daughter, Evelyn Jean; sister, Breanna Johnson and her fiancee Adam Meester; his parents, Bruce and Kathy Johnson; many friends and other family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Norman Jean Herring, and Harold and Evelyn Johnson.
