BLUE EARTH — Carole Joeckel, age 86, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, Minn. A private service will be held at a later date. Lakeview Funeral Home  and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Carole Julane Joeckel was born Dec. 18, 1937, in Fairmont, Minn., to Rufus and Mildred Crawford. Carole graduated from Granada High School and briefly worked at KSUM in Fairmont before she was united in marriage to Rollin Joeckel on Jan. 19, 1957. The couple had two sons, Kevin and Kris.

Carole was an avid Elvis fan and enjoyed many trips to Memphis and going to Graceland. She also enjoyed shopping and loved animals.

Carole is survived by her sons, Kevin (Kathy) and Kris (Barb); grandchildren, Melissa (Ernie) Minton, Matthew (Stacie) Joeckel, Kendra (Jacob) Peterson, five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rollin; sisters, Lois Henry, Florence Kesselring, Elgene Larkin, Francis Tyler; and brother, Walter Crawford.
