Lois E. Camelin
TRUMAN — Lois Elaine Camelin, age 96, of Truman, Minn., passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Heartland Senior Living in Truman. A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Zaharia Funeral Home, with Rev. Merrill Davis officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Cemetery, Fairmont. Lois was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Fairmont, Minn., to Ed and Hanna (Ficken) Bents. She was one of 4 children.
She married Robert “Bob” Camelin and together they had 2 sons, Michael and Timothy. She worked several years at JC Penny before transitioning to the lunchroom at the Truman school where she cooked for the whole school. Lois also opened her own business in her basement in Truman called The Craft Cellar. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Truman.
Lois is survived by her sons, Michael (Anita) of Truman, Timothy (Misti) of Summerfield, N.C. and their children; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; brother, Lyle; sisters, Janet (Red) and Ivy; grandsons, Ryan and Hayden; and daughter-in-law, Gail.
