Theodore John Linton was born June 26, 1947, in St. Paul, Minn. He was adopted by George and Rosemary Linton as an infant. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict, and was honorably discharged.

Survivors include: his wife, Pat Linton of Coon Rapids, Minn.; sons, Michael Linton of Omaha, Neb. and Christopher Linton of Coon Rapids; daughters, Jessica Eckmann of Fairmont, Minn. and Tara Sutton of Coon Rapids; five grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Linton of Omaha, Neb.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Rex Wohlhuter of Sherburn, Margaret Holland of Sherburn, Teresa Brandts of Mankato, Minn., Mary and Scott Brolsma of Sherburn, Tammy and Jeff Kollos of Ames, Iowa, Ann and Dave Hanson of Champlin, Minn., Doug Neppl of West Des Moines, Iowa, Joe and Kathy Neppl of Sherburn, Steve Neppl of Denver, Colo.; other relatives and friends.
